Dr.
R.C. Misra is at present
Assistant Professor in South
Asia Studies Centre, University
of Rajasthan Jaipur. He was
awarded Ph.D. degree on ?Indo-Bhutan
Relations? from University of
Rajasthan, Jaipur, in 1977.
His field of special interest
is Indian Foreign Policy with
particular reference to the
Himalayan region (Nepal, Bhutan
and Sikkim). Dr. Misra is a
keen observer of South Asian
affairs and has important publications
to his credit. His major works
include Sikkim Joins the Motherland
(1977), Parvatiya Rajyon ki
Rajniti Me Bhutan (1988) and
Emergence of Bhutan (1989).
Several of his articles have
been published in reputed national
journals (like China Report,
Commerce, and Mainstream). He
has submitted a project on 'Bhutan-China
Relations'. Dr. Misra, presently,
is working on 'Constitutional
Development of Bhutan' and 'Bhutan
under Jigme Singye Wangchuk
(1972-95)'. He has also made
field trips to Bhutan and Sikkim.
