Dr.
L.M.S. Palni is a plant
scientist by training with research
interest in the areas of environmental
plant physiology including plant
growth substances, plant-microbe
interaction and plant tissue culture.
After obtaining Ph.D from the
University of Wales, U.K. in 1980,
he served on the research faculty
of the Australian National University
(1980-89). He was the founder
Head of Biotechnology Div. of
CSIR complex, Palampur (1989-92)
until moving to the Institute
in November 1992. He is the Director
Incharge of the Institute from
July 1995. He has a large number
of publications to his credit
in both national and international
journals. |
