Dr.
Dinesh Prasad Saklani
is a Senior Lecturer in the
Department of Ancient Indian
History, Culture and Archaeology.
H.N. Bahuguna Garhwal University,
Srinagar Garhwal, U.P. After
a brilliant academic career,
the thrust of his research activities
has been in the area of ethnography
and ancient history of U.P.
Himalaya. He has published half
a dozen of research papers in
reputed journals. He has been
actively associated with the
Indian Institute of Advanced
Study, Shimla from 1994 to 1997.
He is also the author of a book
entitled Ancient and Medieval
Cities-Sites of India.
