 About the author...
Dr. R.M. lodha is currently Associate Professor and Head, Dept. of Geography, and Chairman of Environment Studies centre of M.L. Sukhadia University, udaipur. He has teaching experience of more than two and half decades. He has been the Director of Population Research Centre and Cell.
Dr. Lodha is renowned scholar of geography and environmental studies. He has already completed six research projects. His DOEn, Govt. of India sponsored project, "Location and siting of Industrual Activity: A Case Study of Udaipur City and its Environs," has been well received. He has published more than 50 research articles and 10 books.
He had awarded ICSSR research publication grant (1974-75), UGC National Associateship (1976-81) and UGC Cultural Exchange Fellowship (1977). He is also a life member of two national level and one state level Geographical associations. He has been an active member of nationally known polluted Bichhdi Region. He is a member of Lake Conservation Committee, Udaipur, Rajasthan
His numerous radio talks on geographical topics and popular articles on environment have generated vivid awareness among the people of all walks. He has specialised in Industrial Geography, Environment, Regional Planning, Population Geography and Cartography.
