Professor
Milton S. Sangma is currently the Professor and Head
of Department of History, North-Eastern Hill University,
Shillong. He was a member of Indian Council of Historical
Research for one term and a member of the Executive
Committee of North-East India History Association. He
has published five books in English and three in Garo
language on various aspects of history and culture of
the people of North-East India. His main interests are
in the history and culture of North-East India and South-East
Asia.
