Trekking
in the Himalayas has always been a spiritual experience.
Difficulties of the journey and unceasing revelry
of the mighty forces of nature bewilder the human
mind. The journey of Kailsh-Mansarovar raises the
level of consciousness to union with Him--the Eternal
Being.
This book is an attempt at exposing the reader to
various aspects of this journey to Eternity. A valuable
guide, it gives a day-to-day account of the Kailash-Mansarovar
yatra on the Indian as well as Tibetan side, besides
important information about the geography of the region,
preparation of the journey, mountain trekking, tips
for photography, and much more. Valuable appendices
give information such as format of application, documentation,
important do's and don'ts, altitudes of important
places, clothing and equipment, food items and medicines
required, etc. Sixteen photographs of the yatra route
have been added in the book to reveal the breathtaking
natural beauty of the area.
