Manmohan Singh
Bawa, has
done his Master's in History and has deep interest in archaeology and
anthropology. He is a freelance artist, cartographer and writer, extensively
travelled throughout India, the Middle East, Europe and the American
continent. He has been trekking in the Himalaya for the last 40 years and
has walked extensively throughout the length and breadth of the Himalayan
ranges. Among mapping activities he has compiled and drawn a series of the
Himalayan maps for Air India and for Leomann Maps which have been widely
appreciated and used by trekkers from all over the world. His publications
include for collections of short stories, two novels and several books on
adventure and trekking in different languages. One adventure book has won an
Indian national award of NCERT. For much of the year he resides in Dalhousie
in Himachal Pradesh.
